Last Thursday I attended the monthly VTS (Visual Thinking School) at Xplane/Dachis office in Amsterdam. This months theme was to 'Get Inspired by Names', using names as a starting point for visual thinking. It was full-house with 20 persons from different nationalities, age and background. I want to share one exercise that our host, Matt Morasky, came up with: 1. Interview each other for 5 minutes (ask any question you think of to find out more about their identity). 2. Use the information to visualize their name. For this part we had 10 minutes. I was very lucky that Tommy Toll visualized my name. He drew the top picture instantly during the interview. The other one he created shortly after that. For me its a great example to explain or show someone's identity. Shame we had to little time as we could only cover my background until 1998. ;-) Special thanks to VTS Xplane/Dachis and Tommy Toll of course.
